Accommodation at Safari Plains
Choose from 20 luxuriously appointed tents.
The tented suites are privately spaced within the natural indigenous bush-veld, offering privacy and comfort. Each suite has a private wrap-around deck as well as a romantic swing or authentic safari seating offering a personal space to sit outdoors and enjoy the views over the waterhole.
All suites have air conditioning, sunken baths, separate showers and toilets as well as a fully stocked mini bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities.
Six luxury tented suites offer a larger central area and come complete with a private salsa, which is perfect for lounging on a lazy afternoon.
The safari tents consist of two three-quarter beds that can easily be converted to a King bed.
The family tents consist of two rooms – the second room consists of two three-quarter beds.

Classic Safaris
Daily Morning and Afternoon Safaris which are done in open 4 x 4 vehicles by qualified guides.
Sundowners are enjoyed (for lodge guests only) on the afternoon safari.
Each safari is unique. See Impala, Zebra, Giraffe and Ostrich grazing together on the vast open grassland plains, a herd of elephant crashing through thick bush and a shy hippo pair wallowing in the water. Admire the resident lion pride lazing under a tree after a tiring hunt – each safari drive will reveal new scent, curious sounds and the beauty of an authentic Africa safari.
Guided Safari Walks
Leaving from the lodge, you will be accompanied by guides who will take you on an experience and introduce you to nature on an intimate level.
Being on foot will allow you to witness the detail of both Fauna and Flora on a different scale. The guides are qualified to undertake waling safaris and are well equipped to ensure safety for all guests.
Please note that children under the age of 16 years are not permitted to go on Safari Walks.
Kids Entertainment
The Safari Plains kids entertainment program will keep the kids entertained for hours offering various activities and allowing the adults to enjoy some “free-time”.

Spa Treatments
Spa treatments are dedicated to providing guests with a truly relaxing experience – under the skilful hands of their therapists. Treatments will leave you feeling brand new and completely rejuvenated.
Please note that all Spa Treatments are optional and are not included in the daily rate.
In-room gym bags are available for guests to use – these knapsack-style bags contains a yoga mat, weights, stretch bands and a skipping rope. So enjoy your workout whilst watching the wildlife from your private deck or in the comfort of your suite.
Quad Bike Safaris
This activity can be booked at the lodge at an additional charge.
Enjoy an adventure-filled safari on a quad bike. The guides are there to ensure that your safety is a top priority.
Safaris are done on 250cc Suzuki Quad Bikes – driven in manual or automatic – the choice is yours.
- Departure Times Summer: 07h00, 10h00, 15h00 and 17h00
- Departure Times Winter: 08h00, 11h00, 14h00 and 16h00
- Frequency: 1.5 hours (1 hour on the trail and a half-an-hour for induction) daily
Hot Air Balloon Safaris
This activity can be booked at the lodge at an additional charge.
The flight lasts approximately one hour, starting at 06h00 at a suitable area selected on the reserve. Your ranger will transfer you back to the lodge in time for a hearty breakfast.
Included in a Balloon Safari – Flight and champagne served during the flight as well as a certificate for “Bravery”.
